So I've been slacking

I've been eating too much, and not so healthy food choices for a while now.
It's time for me to get back in gear now.
Starting tomorrow, I'm going back on the 2000 cal a day diet with 2 work outs a day.
I'm going to start incorporating some jumping rope into my afternoon work outs, too.

That should be fun. I'm going to push it, so I can be ready for my trip in March to China.

I have to be in good shape if I'm going to visit the Shaolin Temple.
I might even go and visit master Lee in Seattle on the way.

OK! LET'S DO IT!!!

New Vision

I had lasik surgery on my eyes last week on Thursday.
I'm pretty much fully recovered and I now have 20/15 vision, pending nothing changes anytime soon.

It still feels weird. I feel like I should be taking out my contacts before I go to bed, or things just seem a bit too clear.

Is this really how everyone else sees the world with 20/20 vision all the time?

I suppose I'll get use to it with time...

Great Workout!

Burn Knuckle!
Went to the gym today for my evening work out.
Did the 1000 kick 2000 punch routine in the aerobics room.
I used 3 pound weights for all my punches, and it made a heck of a difference.
Slowed me down quite a bit, but it was a better work out over all.

I look forward to next time.

8 min mile on ze treadmill today. Had to push a while to secure that time.
It's going to be tough to get down to 7.
Probably won't be til sometime next year.

Time to crank up the routine

Starting tomorrow, I will increase my work out routine by waking up at 4:30 instead of 5:30 and then jogging to the gym to arrive by 5, work out until 6:30 and then jog back.

Afternoon, I'll try to keep up an hour work out or so.

Over all, I want to keep 3 hours per day minimum.

We'll see how it works out.

So I was running back from the Gym this morning, and when I approached the newly restored gate at my apartment community, a kid slid underneath the gate and opened it up for me.

What a nice little booger. Probably about 8 or so. Very unexpected.

I was kind of expecting to have to jump/clamber over the gate.

Burn Knuckle!
It was raining this morning, so I drove to the gym and ran some on the treadmill. I did a mile in just under 9 min! Woot!
I woulda never thunk it a year ago.

Yay for progression!

work out update

just wanted to update before I forgot. I did 10 pull ups in a row this morning! woot! improvement coming along nicely.
I'm still gaining weight instead of losing, though. lol
